106 ST MARGARETS
Client:
Private Residential
Value:
£160,000
Status:
Built
A contemporary remodelling of the ground floor of this end of terrace Victorian house fronting
onto a small park.
A new open plan series of spaces adapts and reinvigorates the existing cellular ground floor layout providing adaptable spaces for family life.
A clear brief of maintaining the visual link with the park generated the design concept of clerestory
and picture windows providing a constant horizontal link and framed moments.
We are delighted to announce that RUFFARCHITECTS have been shortlisted for an Architects’ Journal Retrofit Award for 106 St Margarets - one of the most recognized awards within the retrofit and refurbishment sector. This retrofit project brought a positive complexity and contextual aspect to the brief that a new-build property simply could not generate - blurring the lines between
home, garden and open space.
