    Bringing together earthy tones and natural textures for our small-scale residential project in Bath that has just kicked-off on site. This palette combines soft neutrals, warm terracotta, and muted greens, reflecting the beauty of Bath’s historic architecture while keeping a fresh, contemporary feel. Each material was chosen with care to create a cozy, timeless space that harmonizes with its surroundings Back to News

  • Project: Greenway Lane

    On site at one of our private residential schemes in Bath. The substructure is in progress with the first slab cast for the new extension, eventually becoming the social centre to the home. The below ground drainage is in progress and almost complete, with demolition works to the existing extension in progress to enable the through connection to the garden and proposed outdoor kitchen area.     Some exciting news coming from the drawing boards at RUFFARCHITECTS. An existing farmhouse located in the stunning Devon countryside requires a reworking and rejuvenation for a vibrant family. The initial massing models are inspired by the local rural vernacular and are the starting blocks to something special. Back to News

  • Team: Teodora's Promotion!

    We are thrilled to announce the promotion of our AMAZING Teodora Petrova to the position of Associate at RUFFARCHITECTS! Since joining us in 2022, Teodora has played a pivotal role in delivering several significant residential and mixed-use projects. She has recently led the charge on New Road Triangle, a 180-unit residential development in Feltham, and oversaw the Grays Inn Road project in the heart of Kings Cross. Beyond these achievements, Teodora has successfully managed a range of intricate, craft-focused residential projects that stand out for their quality and innovation. Teodora’s unwavering dedication to social value, sustainability, and accountability has significantly enriched our practice, reflecting her commitment to creating meaningful and lasting impacts in the communities we serve. Her leadership and expertise make a her a valuable asset to the team in which she continues to be a cornerstone of our success.     Our studio had an incredible time exploring two castles in a day! Starting in Edinburgh, we delved into the Scottish Baronial Iron Age at Edinburgh Castle, then journeyed to Kent to immerse ourselves in Tudor history at Hever Castle , the childhood home of Anne Boleyn. Feeling inspired and ready to kick off projects in Edinburgh and Hever Castle in the new year! Back to News

    Happy Christmas from the RUFF team! From student accommodation and co-living spaces to residential projects, landscapes, schools, exhibition spaces, and commercial developments—it’s been an incredible year of creativity and growth. A massive thank you to everyone who has commissioned us, collaborated with us, supported us, or engaged with our work this year. We had an absolute blast at the RUFFARCHITECTS Christmas Party ‘24! We got our hands dirty with a Lino Printing workshop and crafted our own tea towels and tote bags - the perfect mix of festive fun and hands-on creativity!
